ARCHIVED: First AALL Spectrum Article of the Year Award is Given to Joanne Dugan.

The American Association of Law Libraries (AALL) is pleased to announce that Joanne Dugan is the first recipient of the AALL Spectrum Article of the Year Award, approved by the AALL Executive Board in April, 2000. This award honors outstanding writing achievement as represented by a work published in the AALL Spectrum. A monetary prize of $500.00, given by Commerce Clearing House, will accompany the award. Ms. Dugan's award winning article, True Confessions of a Copyright Wimp, appeared in the February 2000 issue of the magazine. She portrays of the practical challenges of law firm copyright compliance. The award will be presented at the 93rd AALL Annual Meeting in Philadelphia, PA, July 15-20, 2000.

The American Association of law Libraries was founded in 1906 to promote and enhance the value of law libraries to the legal and public communities, to foster the profession of law librarianship, and to provide leadership in the field of legal information.
