Philadelphia, July 18, 2000 --

The American Association of Law Libraries (AALL) is pleased to announce that the generous support of CCH INCORPORATED has allowed it to enhance its Law Library Journal Article of the Year Award with a $500 cash prize, and to establish a similar Article of the Year Award for the monthly publication, AALL Spectrum. Both awards will be presented at the AALL Annual Meeting in Philadelphia, July 15 – 20, 2000.

"As a legal publisher, CCH is really a community of researchers and writers, and so we are especially glad to be able to sponsor these awards for outstanding contributions to Law Library Journal and AALL Spectrum," said Rebecca K. Hensley, CCH CEO and President.

"CCH's input has been vital to this expansion of our awards," observed Peter Beck, AALL's Director of Publications. "They were involved in the creation of the AALL Spectrum award right from the start. And the idea of adding a cash prize to the Law Library Journal Article of the Year Award came from CCH, too. AALL is grateful to CCH for giving us another opportunity to acknowledge fine writing in our serial publications, and we anticipate that the cash prizes will add some excitement to the allure of having an article published in Law Library Journal or AALL Spectrum."
