The American Association of Law Libraries has launched the Make the Connection campaign to bring new library professionals into the Association—with the help of current members. When AALL members pay their dues by July 1, the Association will send them a Make the Connection coupon, redeemable for one year's membership for a law librarian or associate.

This year both law library directors AND members who pay their own dues can connect their colleagues with AALL. After paying their dues, library directors and members will each receive a coupon that can be redeemed one time, any time during the 2001-2002 year by a library professional who has never been a member of AALL.

The Make the Connection campaign builds on the success of last year's First Year Free Program. The program invited law library directors to confer a free one-year membership to someone who had never been a member of AALL. Nearly 200 new members, including students, trustees and judges, joined the Association.

So Make the Connection with a colleague from your library, Chapter or other information center.
