Are you a new solo librarian? Or perhaps a long-time solo in need of a boost? Attend the Managing Solo Libraries program from the Professional Development Committee on May 21 in Milwaukee. This full-day event will help you acquire the management tools necessary to work solo in a legal environment.
Discussion topics will include management techniques, time management, outsourcing and downsizing, the Internet, competencies, advocacy, and networking. Workshop participants will also examine what lawyers expect of their law librarians and the expanding roles of law librarians. Handouts include lists of resources useful for both solo librarians and law librarians who work together with other legal information specialists.
