Attendees of the AALL 94th Annual Meeting and Conference will get a chance to revel in warm weather and entertaining outdoor activities during the 2001 Minneapolis Aquatennial, a 48-event festival held over 10 days in July.

From July 13-22, this year's Aquatennial will include one of Minnesota's largest parades, the nation's fourth largest fireworks show, milk carton boat races, sand castle competitions, neighborhood festivals and many other family-oriented activities. Begin your visit with the Hennepin Avenue Block Party on July 13, featuring Pat Benatar, the Josh Joplin Group and the Clark Family Experience. In between workshops and meetings, check out the wares of the city's local artisans at the Nicollet Mall Arts and Crafts Fair July 16-17. Round out your Aquatennial experience by attending the many dances, regattas and sporting events that sets this annual festival apart from other summer activities.

For more information, visit the Aquatennial Web site at http://www.aquatennial.org for a full schedule of events, times and locations.
