Already thinking about what you'd like to see at next year's Annual Meeting and Conference in Seattle? Propose a program or workshop for 2003!

In accordance with the meeting theme, "Maximize Today -- Envision Tomorrow," the Annual Meeting Program Committee is seeking program or workshop proposals that help maintain the level of excellence demanded in today's workplace while also looking beyond the challenges of today to envision ways to influence and shape tomorrow. The following Competencies of Law Librarianship will be featured at the 2003 Annual Meeting: teaching, collection care and management, and technology with a focus on the future.

In addition to the usual 60-, 75- and 90-minute educational programs, you can now submit program proposals for the new 30-minute educational program slots at the 2003 AALL Annual Meeting in Seattle. These new, short sessions are designed for presentations that do not require the traditional formats of panel discussions or lengthy talks with speakers at podiums. Consider this new format if you would like to introduce a new how-to concept, provide updates on specific issues, "test the waters" of interest for a new idea -- the possibilities are endless.

All program proposal forms are due at the AALL Headquarters by the close of the business day on Friday, Aug. 16. For access to program proposal forms, the Program Planner's Handbook and additional information about the Annual Meeting in Seattle, please go to http://www.aallnet.org/events/am_03/.
