Message from the president:

Dear Caucus Members,

It was only last month when I met so many of you in Washington, DC during AALL conference. The exhibit table at the conference was wonderful, the attendance to the caucus business meeting was impressive, and the tour of LC Asian Division sponsored by our Caucus is certainly one of the highlights at the conference.

Right after I came back from the conference, I got myself busy appointing new committee members. Soon after I sent out the first call to serve the AALLC, I got lots of enthusiastic replies. I'm glad to report that all positions for the 5 committees have been filled by our eager-to-work Caucus members. Several committees, as you may have noticed, have kicked off into high gear. Jessis Tam, Chair of Program Committee, is stepping up her efforts to plan for future program proposals. If you have any program ideas and would like some help from the Program Committee, please get in touch with Jessis. Wei Fang, Chair of Communication and Publicity Committee, started his role by taking full charge of the Caucus Blog, facebook and website. Please go to AALLC facebook at http://www.facebook.com/pages/AALLc/23462724045 and Caucus blog at http://aallc.wordpress.com/, and find out new posting. You may also want to subscribe the RSS feed and get new and updated information from the Blog.

Our Caucus has a history of over 20 years. Let's carry forward its great tradition and work together to make our Caucus even stronger. When I accepted the appointment as the president of AALLC, I was confident that I could get all the support I need from you. I would like to take this opportunity to let you know that I'm grateful to be in this position of service. I'm also thankful to many of our members who volunteered their time and efforts for this Caucus. I firmly believe that we will be able to build on our previous success and have another wonderful year going forward. Please share your ideas and comments with me and committee members. I look forward to working with you all in the coming year.

Thanks.

Yan
