Dear ALLUNY Colleagues and Friends,

It's about time. I invite you to attend the 55th Annual Meeting of the Association of Law Libraries of Upstate New York (ALLUNY) at the Genesee Grande Hotel in Syracuse, Sept. 11 through 13. Please join me to hear programs on the courts' use of Wikipedia in legal opinions from Joe Gerken, followed by a panel presentation by the librarians at Syracuse University College of Law on the Sotomayor hearings and their part in the process -- and that's only Friday.

Saturday's speakers include ALLUNY members Jean Callihan, Elaine Knecht and Jean-Paul Vivian, representing academic, firm and court law librarians doing more with less; attorney Timothy Hoover on the state Senate impasse, and a panel of speakers on aspects of the federal Recovery Act.

Like getting there, participation in ALLUNY Annual Meeting programs is more than half the fun. I encourage you to come to Syracuse next month for an action-packed slate of speakers and timely topics.
