ALLUNY Volunteer Spirit Award

In the true spirit of Katie M. Deveau, this award honors those who unselfishly give of themselves to benefit others and inspire those around them to do the same. This award serves to recognize the volunteer service of individuals or a group dedicated to assisting others for the greater good without regard to personal gain, those who inspire others through community service and exhibit a commitment to others in need.

Eligibility:
A member of ALLUNY in good standing for volunteer work for ANY community service organization OR ANY individual or group (does not have to be a member of ALLUNY) who has made voluntary contributions directly benefitting ALLUNY.

Nominations:
Nominations must be submitted by a member of ALLUNY in good standing. Nominations from non-members will not be considered. Nominations for the 2013 award must be received by September 7, 2013.

Criteria for Nomination:

Outstanding service as a volunteer
A demonstrated willingness to dedicate one's time to serving the needs of others
A significant contribution to a cause, issue, special project or organization benefitting others
