Research Librarians, Greenberg Traurig

Greenberg Traurig, a global firm, is seeking Research Librarians to join our national team of researchers.  Ranked 8th in the NLJ 250 survey of U.S. firms, we are seeking experienced staff in newly created positions in offices throughout the firm.  Current preference is given to those in Central, Mountain or West coast time zones or willing to serve firm needs during those hours.  The responsibilities of these positions include performing legal, business and other practice area-related research as requested for employees firm wide; assisting users in the selection and use of print and electronic research tools; and assisting with other national library projects as assigned.

GT's Research Center has a broad collection of print and electronic resources, a comprehensive Intranet, and a strong commitment to technology. The RC staff is responsible for serving the needs of 35 offices and over 1,500 attorneys around the globe.  Research Center staff work as a virtual reference team to ensure that all employees, irrespective of location, receive equally high levels of service and support.

Requirements: These positions all require a Masters in Library and Information Science or parallel degree, matched with three years of business and/or legal reference experience. Proficiency with Westlaw, Lexis-Nexis, LiveEdgar, and other electronic sources for legal and non-legal research. Research experience should be in both print and electronic resources.  Researchers must have the ability to determine the appropriate resources based on time, cost and user need.  Excellent written and oral communication skills, a strong service orientation and the ability to work independently under time pressures in a fast paced environment are required.  Staff must also be able to set priorities, cooperate in a team environment, possess a high level of attention to detail, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
