Listerv Q & A:

"I've been posting and suddenly can't post any more! Help!"
--Did you change jobs recently? Did your employer change email systems or addresses? If so, go to http://aallnet.org/mailman/listinfo/dall and unsubscribe yourself under your former email address, then subscribe yourself as the new address.

"Isn't this changed when I send my change of address to the treasurer?"
--No. You can choose to subscribe to or unsubscribe from the DALL listserv, but neither DALL nor AALL automatically subscribes you to the list.

"What if I want to send a message, but don't want to subscribe? Example: I'm a member of another chapter and wish to send an email to DALL folks for a special program we're hosting."
--You may subscribe, post the message, then unsubscribe. Alternately, you may email the listserv owner or the DALL president and ask if they will post the message for you. (Officers are listed at www.aallnet.org/chapter/dall/officer.asp)

"Why is this list closed to members only?"
--Most of the chapter, SIS and committee listservs under the AALL umbrella have been converted to members only (ie, by subscription) due to the overwhelming amount of unsolicited email that each list receives. The DALL listserv has received as many as 20 unsolicited or commercial emails per week.
