Stone House
Conference Center The Stone House is a small to medium-sized conference center located in a rural area on the Maine coast. It is the former summer residence of the L.M.C. Smith family. The home was generously donated to the University of Southern Maine in 1985. The Stone House was originally designed for the Wood family by John Calvin Stevens, a renowned Portland architect, in 1917. The colorful gardens include a nationally recognized botanical garden and the Maine Chapter of the American Rhododendron Society's display garden. Please note there is no smoking in the Stone House.
