The Stone House is a small to medium-sized conference center located in a rural area on the Maine coast. It is the former summer residence of the L.M.C. Smith family. The home was generously donated to the University of Southern Maine in 1985. The Stone House was originally designed for the Wood family by John Calvin Stevens, a renowned Portland architect, in 1917. The colorful gardens include a nationally recognized botanical garden and the Maine Chapter of the American Rhododendron Society's display garden.
Please note there is no smoking in the Stone House.
A block of rooms has been reserved for the night of April 29 (and for April 30 as well if you would like to stay on) at the conference rate of $69.00 (plus tax) single or double occupancy. Please mention the Law Librarians of New England when making your reservation.
