01/28/08: LLNE Spring Meeting: Talkin' About My Generation
The LLNE Spring Meeting will take place on Friday, April 25, 2008. Hosted by the Garbrecht Law Library at
University of Maine School of Law, the program titled Talkin’ About My Generation:
Recruiting, Retaining and Mentoring the Next Generation of Librarians will address issues in law libraries related to our multi-generational work environments. The registration form is now available and a website detailing location, lodging, and program information is coming soon.
7/30/07: Introduction to Legal Research Course: Registration Now Open
LLNE's award winning Introduction to Legal Research course will take place from September 10-October 29, 2007. For course details and registration information please visit the course website.
07/19/07: Libraries Without Borders II
The Fourth Northeast Regional Law Libraries Meeting will be held in Toronto from October 17-20, 2007, hosted by the Toronto Association of Law Libraries and sponsored by LLNE along with eight other chapters. LLNE members must register by August 17, 2007 to qualify for the early bird registration discount.

All LLNE and SNELLA members are invited to the joint luncheon in New Orleans Please join us in New Orleans for a "Wrap Buffet" and catching up with your LLNE colleagues.
Registration information for the joint LLNE/SNELLA Luncheon, to be held on Monday, July 16, 2007 at AALL in New Orleans, is now available. The cost is $25 per person, thanks to the generous sponsorship of Thomson Global Products. I hope to see many of you there!

11/17/06: LLNE Fall 2006 Meeting Materials Now Available
To complement the meeting on Instruction and Training: Reaching Out with New Technology, the Boston College Law Library staff have provided the meeting program with live links to the PowerPoints and handouts from the presentation.

The Boston College Law Library staff will be hosting Instruction and Training: Reaching Out with New Technology. The program will take place at the Connors Family Conference & Retreat Center in Dover MA. Read more about the program. As a reminder, this is also LLNE's 60th Anniversary Meeting!

The Scholarships Committee is now accepting applications for the newly created Scholarships for Students Pursuing a Degree in Library Science or Law. Applications for spring scholarships will be reviewed in September.

The nominating committee, Darcy Kirk, Lynn Randall, and Cathy Breen, has presented its slate of candidates for LLNE offices.

Cathy Breen (chair), Darcy Kirk, and Lynn Randall have been tasked with proposing a slate of candidates for the offices of Vice-President/ President-Elect, Treasurer, and Education Director. Nominations will be announced later this spring via all LLNE communications media.
4/13/05: LLNE/SNELLA Joint Luncheon at AALL Annual Meeting
Please join us in San Antonio for a "Stampede Deli Buffet" and catching up with your LLNE colleagues. In addition to the election of new officers, this year's luncheon will include an important vote on amendments to the LLNE Constitution and Bylaws. Information about amendments will be disseminated as required by the LLNE Constitution via all LLNE communications media.

Serving
a Diverse Patron Base: Reference Skills for the Nimble Librarian is
a workshop designed to address the skills that librarians need to handle
traditional and new methods of providing reference service. The workshop
is free to NELLCO library staff members. Non-NELLCO members may attend
for a fee of $20.00.

Guidelines for Webmasters.
