Website Policy
1.
The website will contain all electronic publications (and those that can
be converted to electronic format) of Law Librarians of New England and
its committees.
2.
The website will contain links to other sites that are of interest to
LLNE members, focusing on New England resources.
3.
Documents that meet all of the following criteria are automatically
eligible for posting without prior approval of the Internet Committee:
a. Submitted
by a Committee chair or an Executive Board member.
b. Pertain
to the Committee's or Board member's area of assigned responsibility.
c. Meet
one of the following qualifications:
i. Pertain
to LLNE business, including, but not limited to: Reports, Documents,
Press releases, LLNE policies
ii. Produced
by an outside organization and approved by a Committee chair or Executive
Board member.
4.
All information that is not automatically eligible for posting will be
considered by the Internet Committee to determine whether it is appropriate
for the website.
5.
Committee chairs and Board members should submit all documents in electronic
form, whenever possible.
6.
All documents, with the exception of forms, will have the following elements:
LLNE logo, title, date last updated, copyright notice, and contact
name. These elements will be arranged in a template approved by
the Internet Committee.
7.
The Internet Committee will endeavor to maintain the original format of
the document whenever possible. Reformatting may be necessary to
maintain uniformity with other website documents.
8.
Information to be posted or updated should go to the appropriate Internet
Committee liaison.
9.
The Internet Committee will update or remove pages upon request of Committee
chairs/Board members or whenever documents become outdated.
