The Berkman
Center is a research program founded to explore and understand cyberspace,
its development, dynamics, standards, and need or lack thereof for laws
and sanctions. The Center represents a network of teaching and research
faculty from Harvard Law School and elsewhere, as well as students, fellows,
entrepreneurs and lawyers working to identify and engage the challenges
and opportunities of cyberspace. Online courses designed for Harvard Law
School students often allow the general public to follow the class discussion.
The topics and times of the class are announced in advance. Additionally,
the Center publishes a newsletter, “The Filter,” on their website which
covers public interest-oriented Internet issues.
