Also provided are links to financial research sources, such as gaming stock scoreboards and company profiles, a comprehensive guide to academic, legal, and industry-oriented gaming conferences, and news updates on the web. The Gaming Studies Research Center also lists links to regulatory, casino, and scholarly sites.

Gambling and the Law

Professor I. Nelson Rose of Whittier Law School, one of the leading authorities on gambling law, furnishes this comprehensive website. There are links to the status of each state's gambling enabling laws, a document entitled Understanding the Law of Internet Gambling, and a minimum gambling age chart with a description of, and citations to, each state's gambling statutes. Also provided is a detailed 30-page outline on the law of Internet gambling, a symposium paper Professor Rose presented entitled A Guideline for Advertising Internet Gambling, and links to his recent publications. This website also compiles one of the most thorough listing of gambling websites useful for research purposes.

The trade association for the gaming industry is a great resource for casino industry information. There are AGA fact sheets on a variety of gaming issues, statistics, issue briefs, the annual survey of casino entertainment, and updates on the latest federal legislation and regulatory activity. Researchers can locate experts, publications, and links to relevant websites. Information is provided about industry initiatives to promote responsible gaming, AGA press releases and speeches, and selected articles from the AGA's membership newsletter.
