The NAIC
is the largest professional association for state insurance regulators.
The web site offers a clickable map of insurance regulators, allowing
easy access to state insurance departments' web sites. The site contains
Model Laws, drafts of Model Acts and Regulations, newsletters, press releases,
abstracts from the Journal of Insurance Regulation, and other publications
that contain financial, statistical and regulatory information pertaining
to all areas of insurance law. Researchers can also use the NAIC search
engine to access all the information NAIC has on a particular subject,
including publications available, upcoming meetings, etc.

It is an excellent resource for finding primary materials on insurance
law. These include the U.S. Code, state statutes, Supreme Court
insurance decisions, and U.S. Court of Appeals cases. It also provides
links to other internet resources.

statistics and current updates on a wide variety of insurance issues,
and gives advice on how to save money on insurance costs. There is a link
for catastrophes within News Media, which provides researchers with information
regarding earthquakes, hurricanes, tornadoes, floods and fires. Also available
are links to the financial services industry and the international insurance
marketplace. Users can also click on Media Tools to preview some of III's
video and radio news releases.

insurance industry includes life, nonlife, reinsurance, title, health
care, alternative risk vehicles and Lloyd's. Best also provides special

ratings and daily updates on industry news and events. Users can search
A.M. Best's extensive database of 6,000 property/casualty, life/health
and international insurance companies. This site provides links to insurance
associations and government regulators for all the states. Center publishes
a newsletter, "The Filter," on their website which covers public interest-oriented
Internet issues.
