LLOPS 2009-2010 Election Results

As Chair of the LLOPS Nominations Committee, I am pleased to report that the Law Librarians of Puget Sound have elected Mort Brinchman as our next Vice-President/President-Elect and Christy Leith as our next Treasurer.

For those of you keen on statistics, 82 members cast their electronic votes in our election. All ballots have been destroyed as of this writing.

Mort and Christy will be installed as new officers at our LLOPS Annual Business Meeting in June.

We thank you for your willingness to serve the Chapter.

I know I can speak for the Nominations Committee and the Chapter as a whole when I say that we will be in "good hands" with both of you on our executive board.

Time to Renews LLOPS Membership

It's time to renew your LLOPS membership. The LLOPS membership year runs from July 2009 - June 2010. Our goal is to distribute the Directory at the August 2009 meeting. Bridge the Gap - May 20 and June 24

Registration is currently open for these free events designed to enhance the legal research skills of law students. Topics include:

Legal Research in the Real World
Lawyers’ Practice Materials
Legislative History Research
Administrative Law Research

The program will be held on Wednesday, May 20th from 8:30-12:45 at Seattle University and Wednesday, June 24th from 12:45-5pm at the University of Washington.
