Professional Develpment Grants:
The Grants Committee has been authorized by the LLOPS Board to award up to
$1,000 in grants for educational opportunities available during the current
LLOPS year (July 2009 – June 2010). We will have two application cycles,
the first for fall and winter programs, the second for spring and summer events.
You must be a current LLOPS member to apply.
If you are interested in taking a class or attending a conference in the next few months, please fill out the form and email or mail it back to me no later than Friday, September 11. Preference will be given to LLOPS members who have not received a grant in the last 3 years and who have actively contributed to the Law Librarians of Puget Sound. The grant money cannot be used toward a degree program.
Awards will be based on classes or conferences we believe directly affect your job or some library-related project you're working on.
If you don't have time to take a class this fall or winter, start thinking
about spring and summer conferences or classes. Be watching for another announcement
sometime in January. The Grants Committee (Jan Lawrence, Bridget Dacres and
me) are hoping for an enthusiastic response to these new grants so we can
continue to offer them to you.
