MALLCO Preconference at MAALL/SWALL

All MALLCO members are invited to attend special sessions immediately before the MAALL meetings begin. This is a new activity for us, and one that I hope will merit repeating in the years to come. MALLCO will have a group of roundtables on Thursday morning, Nov. 3, 2011, from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. These are designed to bring together librarians with common interests, giving them a forum for sharing ideas. So, when you make your travel plans for Lawrence, Kansas, please plan to be there on Thursday morning. Don't miss out!

To register for these free sessions, just complete this short survey. You are encouraged to complete the survey, even if you will not attend the meeting. The schedule for the morning will be as follows:

8:30am - 10:00 am Interest Group Roundtables

Other MALLCO Activities at MAALL/SWALL

The MALLCO Board will have its regular meeting Thursday afternoon, Nov. 3, 2011, 5:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. (That's Thursday, not Friday.) In addition to this meeting and the Thursday morning sessions, we are looking into booking a restaurant for the MALLCO Board during the Friday evening dine-arounds.

MALLCO will have a table in the Exhibit Hall, where we will hand out our newly revised brochures, a list of the vendors that work with MALLCO, a list of MALLCO events for 2011 and a description of our State Statutory Code Sharing Agreement.

MALLCO is pleased to be sponsoring the speaker at Thursday evening's dinner, Marianne Wesson. She is Professor of Law, Wolf-Nichol Fellow, and President's Teaching Scholar, Schaden Chair for Experiential Learning at the University of Colorado Law School and is also a published novelist of legal fiction.
