Mid-America Consortium Welcomes New Executive Director
The Mid-America Law Library Consortium (MALLCO) will welcome Corie Dugas as its new Executive Director on June 1. Dugas will overlap with retiring Executive Director Susan Goldner during the month of June. Goldner has been Executive Director since 2010 and was Technical Services Librarian at the University of Arkansas-Little Rock for more than 25 years.
Dugas comes to MALLCO with a wealth of experience in law libraries and activities in the Mid-America Association of Law Libraries (MAALL). She is currently the Outreach and Public Services Librarian and Assistant Professor of Legal Research at Saint Louis University Law Library where she will continue in that role. She chairs the MAALL Public Relations Committee and has been an active member of many other committees. MAALL awarded her the 2015 AALL Chapter Registration Grant to attend the annual meeting in Philadelphia.
The Executive Director will help provide vision and leadership in furthering MALLCO’s mission and strategic plan. She also works closely with MALLCO committees, interest groups, and projects, and helps facilitate completion of their responsibilities. One of the increasing roles will be to work closely with the executive directors of NELLCO and LIPA to expand interconsortial collaboration. That ongoing work should help all three groups further develop new areas of cooperation and collaboration.
MALLCO is a nonprofit organization incorporated in the state of Missouri with 27 member libraries from 13 states: Arkansas, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Ohio, Oklahoma, North Dakota, South Dakota, Tennessee, and Wisconsin.
