The rise of social networking sites, virtual libraries and mobile technologies are current hot topics that will be introduced in the fall workshop with tips and strategies on how to harness new communication streams to deliver reference services to a wider audience.

Keynote Speaker, Jason Griffey, voted 2009 "Mover and Shaker" by Library Journal, and author of books on blogging and mobile technologies, will discuss how libraries can benefit from real-time broadcast communications such as microblogging services like Twitter, Friendfeed and more, and why he views this form of communication as one of the future of reference services.

Other speakers will discuss new communication tools that local law libraries are currently taking advantage of and provide an opportunity for you to learn how your library can also use these new communication devices.
