SANDALL Newsletter Current Issue: May 2009 Announcing In recognition of the hard work by our members to continually improve the quality and scope of our newsletter, the Board would like to announce the first ever Article of the Year Award. Articles to be considered will be chosen from this year’s SANDALL Newsletter (September 2008, November 2008, January 2009, March 2009, May 2009). Articles will be evaluated on the following: value to readers, style, creativity and overall impression. Determination of the winners will be made by a 5 member selection committee, lead by the Newsletter Chair. A certificate of recognition will be awarded to the author of the winning article along with a $50 cash award at the Annual Meeting. So, share your valuable knowledge, humor, search techniques, etc. and get those newsletter articles in to Amy Moberly (alm@cwsl.edu)! If you are available late May/early June and would like to be on the selection committee please send me an email at gcatalano@sdcpll.org Newsletter policy change In March 2007 the SANDALL Board voted to amend the Newsletter Editorial Policy as follows:
The Newsletter is distributed electronically to SANDALL members via the SANDALL listserv, placed on the SANDALL web site and distributed to the AALL CONE listserv. The electronic copies will no longer indlude advertisements. A print or digital copy (CD) of each issue is placed in the SANDALL archives. It is published five times a year, every other month, with the exception of June and July.
