2003 - 2004 Annual Activity Report The SANDALL Board of 2003-2004 included Liz Carroll, President; Laurel Moran, Vice-President; Sheila Corman, Secretary; Nanna Frye, Treasurer; and Tracey Pardo, Past President. This year SANDALL grew from ninety nine members to one hundred and seven members. The Board created three new standing committees: Government Relations, Library School Liaison and Public Relations. The fall workshop, "Sailing to New Horizons," provided practical tips and networking on current professional challenges. In January, SANDALL hosted a reception at California Western School of Law for the law librarians attending the ALA Midwinter Conference in San Diego. This event was a wonderful success. The Spring Social/Silent Auction raised nearly $1000 toward future educational programs and grants. The Constitution and Bylaws Committee developed three amendments on 1) Officers, 2) Committees and 3) Amendment of Bylaws. All three bylaw amendments were passed at the annual business meeting. We are awaiting approval from the AALL Bylaws Committee. The Government Relations Committee worked with the Board to write letters in support of California AB 1095 and a dues increase for the San Diego County Public Law Library. The newsletter editor, Amy Moberly, investigated alternative methods of printing. The result is a more cost-effective and professional looking print product. The new Executive Board for 2004-05 consists of Valerie Railey, President; Judith Lihosit, Vice-President; Brian Williams, Secretary; Nanna Frye, Treasurer; and Liz Carroll, Past President.
