Procopio Cory Hargreaves & Savitch, LLP – one of San Diego’s oldest and most premiere law firms - seeks a full-time experienced Law Librarian for its downtown San Diego office.

Under general direction of the Director of Information Services, the Law Librarian:

• Manages all aspects of the day-to-day operations of the libraries, including legal and non-legal reference assistance, oversee the libraries and subscription budgets, trains attorneys and paralegals in use of manual and on-line resources and library equipment, performs research as needed.
  
• Coordinates with Information Services on implementing new technology developments and knowledgebase projects.
  
• Works closely with attorneys to develop a print and on-line library collection to adequately support the law practices of the firm.
  
• Provides in-depth business, industry and competitive intelligence research support to the firm & marketing department including researching company, industry and competitor data, preparing reports, and performs research pertaining to clients, competitors, industries and trends using on-line and print resources.

A Master’s degree in Library Science (MLS) and/or three years related experience in a law firm environment is strongly preferred. Must possess strong technology, and communication skills (verbal, written, and electronic) including Westlaw, Lexis, USPTO, legal database search techniques, legal research.
