Plans, organizes and directs a variety of library programs and the work of a professional law library staff. Serves as the law library program's primary administrative point of contact with the DAS accounting, contracts, purchasing, facilities, budget, information services, legal support and legal division managers. Manages the law library collection, new acquisitions and standing orders, cataloging, maintaining statewide databases, and managing office holdings. Negotiates complex contracts for library resources with library vendors. Consults with law librarians statewide and legal divisions to address law library needs and to determine expansion, modification and reduction of the law library collection. Represents the AG’s Office and consults with the Department of General Services during negotiations for the Master Services Agreements. Represents the department at local and national library association meetings. Maintains membership in professional library associations. Keeps abreast of current trends in law library procedures, developments and changing technology. Conducts special projects, provides management and direction on major library programs and the work of the law library staff.
