Intellectual property is at the center of the formative forces shaping the modern information economy and at the center of a fundamental dispute between groups with diametric views of whether property rights should expand or contract. This presentation examines the conflict as it applies to various issues in reference to digital information technology, including the DMCA, Internet, and the use of file sharing technologies.
