Civil Judgment Interest Rate Chart
- For judgments entered before January 1, 1995, the interest rate is calculated according
to the rate stated in the judgment OR the legal rate in effect at the time the judgment
was entered.
- For judgments entered on or after January 1, 1995, the Florida Comptroller determines
the interest rate for each year. Thus the interest rate on a judgment varies from year to
year. (Ex. Interest on a judgment entered in January 1995 will be 8% during 1995 and 10%
from 1996 through 1998).
