About Us:

The Southern New England Law Librarians' Association, founded in 1978, is a chapter of the American Association of Law Libraries. We are a not-for-profit organization of over 125 law library personnel.

Our members work in law libraries serving law firms, corporate legal departments, not-for-profit organizations, academic institutions, and federal and state governments encompassing judicial, legislative, and administrative agencies. We also work for publishers and other information vendors, and as freelance consultants.

Any person interested in law libraries or law librarianship may become a SNELLA member by qualifying under the provisions of membership specified in the Association's bylaws.

In addition to Individual Membership, the bylaws provide for other membership categories that include students, life members and others not directly connected with a law library.

Individual and associate memberships are $25.00 a year, and student memberships are $10.00. To join, print out and complete this application (PDF file, Adobe Acrobate required).

Checks should be made payable to The Southern New England Law Librarians Association and should be sent with the application to: Ms. Rebecca Engsberg, Reference/Technical Services Librarian, Quinnipiac University School of Law Library, 275 Mt. Carmel Ave., Hamden, CT 06518-1951.
