NEWS FROM THE COLORADO SUPREME COURT

On October 9, 2001, Colorado Supreme Court Justice Greg Hobbs announced that Martha Campbell has been appointed as Acting Supreme Court Law Librarian, following the retirement of Lois Calvert. Ms. Campbell has a Masters in Library Arts from the University of Denver and has been an Assistant Law Librarian for twenty-seven years.

Ms. Campbell is assisted by Deputy Librarian Linda Gruenthal, who also has a Masters Degree, and Library Assistant Maria Richmeier. The Library staff reports to Mac Danford, Clerk of the Colorado Supreme Court.  Justice Hobbs is Liaison Justice for the Library.

The Colorado Supreme Court Law Library assists the Supreme Court, the Court of Appeals, the trial courts, and the public in providing legal materials for their use. The Library is open to the public from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. The public has access at the Library to Colorado and selected federal materials on Lexis free of charge. Broader Westlaw and Lexis access is available to the public for a fee. There is a fee schedule for costs of copying and faxing materials for members of the public. Access to the library's catalog can be obtained through its web address of: www.state.co.us/courts/sctlib.
