WestPac Unemployed Member Membership Waiver Policy (Draft)
August 2009-August 2011
This policy is experimental, intended to be in effect for two years for evaluation before consideration for adoption. With the intention of recognizing our colleagues who have lost employment during these difficult times, membership fees will be waived in the following manner:
- Current, membership-paying WestPac members who have lost employment during the last year and remain unemployed at the time of the next membership registration period may apply for an unpaid membership.
- The unpaid membership will carry all benefits of the paid membership and will be reflected on public lists as an active membership.
- The lost employment must not be the result of the member’s decision to quit their place of employment.
- The free membership is to extend for the entire membership year.
- Application for this option will be represented on the registration application form.
