Legislative Bills/Bill Status

Bills are proposed statutes. State legislative websites often include the text of bills under current consideration, information about the status of each bill, and several ways to identify a bill of potential interest to the website visitor.

  1. This site is very comprehensive. It includes current bills and prior sessions' archives. Full text of bills, bill status, legislative calendars, legislative directories, legislative documents and reports, codes and the constitution. 
  2. Format of documents are HTML and PDF. The size of each document is
    indicated..
  3. Each category is described. 
  4. The legislative process is explained. 
  5. Bills may be searched by keyword, status, or bill numbers. Current and prior sessions may be searched at once. 
  6. Search results include a description of each bill as well as the bill number. 
  7. There is a free bill subscription service. Status and the full text of revised versions of selected bills sent to subscriber's email address.
