Website Evaluations Authentication Issues Information for Committee Members |
Web Site Evaluations Leading by example, some of the better government websites that provide legal information have been identified by members of the Committee. These Exemplary Sites are arranged by branch of the government (judicial, legislative, and executive) and then by type of legal information produced by those branches and agencies. AELIC members selected these websites after reviewing many (but not necessarily all) comparable state websites. Since websites are subject to frequent change, the Committee will review these selections periodically. The criteria by which we evaluate government websites that provide legal information and documents is also evolving. A description of our current criteria is available. The guidelines for evaluating a legal website are also available. We invite law librarians, government website managers, legal researchers, and other interested parties to suggest websites that they believe qualify as Good Sites under the criteria the Committee has established. Please use the Site Submission Form to make a recommendation.
