Annual Reports of the Public Relations Committee

1984-1985

During the 1984-85 year the Public Relations Committee discussed the most effective use of the AALL booth. Guidelines for the use and display of the booth were drafted and have been submitted to the Executive Board for adoption. Suggested materials for use in the booth were also developed.

Although letters were written offering free use and prepaid shipment of the booth to all chapters, only two chapters requested the booth, both for state bar meetings. In addition, the booth was successfully exhibited and staffed at the 1985 meeting of the Association of Legal Administrators. St. Louis law librarians staffed the booth.

Several notices of AALL meetings were sent to library journals, but much greater coverage of our events, scholarships, and publications is needed. This should be an ongoing project for the 1985-86 committee.
