1985-1986 Public Relations CommitteeThe committee sent a public relations packet to each chapter, established a clearinghouse, and surveyed all of the chapters to assess public relations needs. Following the survey, the committee will hold information sharing sessions at the annual meeting for the public relations' liaisons of chapters in both small geographic areas and larger regions.
The committee also submitted a proposal to the Executive Board to establish a paid professional public relations position to handle public relations on behalf of the Association. The committee will submit guidelines for the work of that professional following the annual meeting.
