Ground Transportation

Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) is 7.2 miles southwest of Center City, a short taxi or train ride to the Pennsylvania Convention Center and surrounding hotels. Taxi fares between the airport and Center City are fixed at a flat rate of $28.50 (excluding tip). All taxis accept credit cards.

SEPTA's Regional Rail offers service from the airport to Center City, with trains departing every half hour from stations just outside each terminal's baggage claim. Disembark at the Jefferson Station (at 12th and Market Streets), underneath the Reading Terminal Market and adjacent to the Pennsylvania Convention Center and the Philadelphia Marriott Downtown (headquarters hotel). Tickets are $6.50 each way, or $8.00 if purchased on the train. (Travel to/from Philadelphia International Airport requires a Zone 4 weekday fare at all times.)

Low-cost airport shuttles are also available, including Lady Liberty ($10 each way).

Amtrak trains arrive at Amtrak's 30th Street Station (30th and Market streets). Both Amtrak paper tickets and e-Tickets are accepted as a fare to ride on Regional Rail trains between 30th Street Station and Jefferson Station (underneath the Reading Terminal Market and adjacent to the Pennsylvania Convention Center and Philadelphia Marriott). Customers with e-Ticket confirmations should present their personal device (iPad, laptop computer, smart phone, etc.) to the SEPTA Conductor for visual confirmation of the Amtrak fare.
