Ground Transportation Information

Both O'Hare International Airport and Midway International Airport offer plentiful taxi service to downtown. Rates range from $40-50 from O'Hare, and $30-40 from Midway. Rates vary based on travel time and are subject to change.

GO Airport Express provides shared ride services to all downtown hotels and offers AALL 2016 attendees a 10% discount on advance reservations made here

The Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) serves both airports for easy and economical travel to downtown using the 'L' train. The 24-hour CTA Blue Line connects directly to O'Hare and the CTA Orange Line connects directly to Midway.
From O'Hare to the Hyatt: Take the CTA's Blue Line to Clark/Lake stop (approximately 7 blocks from hotel). Walk east on Lake to Stetson St, turn left on Stetson and walk one block to the hotel. Note: This method is not recommended if you have more than one bag, as there are numerous escalators and turnstiles.
From Midway to the Hyatt: Take the CTA's Orange Line to the State/Lake stop. Note: This elevated station does not have escalators/elevators – only stairs. Walk one block north to Wacker. Take a right on Wacker and walk approximately 3 blocks to the hotel.

Amtrak trains arrive at Union Station (225 South Canal St). From the southeast corner of Canal and Adams, take the CTA's northbound #157 Streeterville/Taylor bus to Michigan and East Wacker (8 stops, about 15 minutes). Walk east on Wacker (approximately two minutes) to the hotel.

Choose Chicago provides additional information about getting around. (Parking information at the Hyatt can be found here.)
