Begin your visit with an insider's view of downtown Seattle! Our knowledgeable guide will take you on an adventure in architecture and public art, showcasing significant buildings and amazing art installations. You won't want to miss a tour of our fascinating and uniquely Seattle public library. Wear layered clothing and walking shoes. Today's tour will encompass the tallest building in Seattle, the oldest Starbuck's location as well as easily overlooked tell-tale signs of Seattle's past, interwoven with modern architecture. This orientation begins with a walk to the Monorail, a relic of the 1962 World’s Fair. Originally built for the World’s Fair, this 74 acre park houses some of the most exciting and compelling attractions Seattle has to offer! Once the one-hour walk, ride and orientation is complete, you will have time on your own to explore your favorite Seattle icons! All of the following attractions are located within walking distance of the Space Needle, at the end of your 90 second Monorail ride: Space Needle, Experience Music Project/Science Fiction Museum, Chihuly Garden and Glass, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation Visitor’s Center, and the Pacific Science Center/IMAX Theater & Butterfly Exhibit. Remain at the Seattle Center enjoying the attractions, dine in nearby restaurants, see the amazing views from the top of the Space Needle with a glass of Washington wine and return to downtown Seattle by Monorail.
Round-trip Monorail ticket and knowledgeable tour guide are included, optional attraction admission(s) are not included to provide each guest a personally rewarding experience—our knowledgeable guide will be on hand to offer recommendations based upon interest.

Enjoy views from the unique vantage point of the lakes. You will see floatplanes take off and land, amidst Houseboat communities, interspersed with public parks and intriguing waterfront homes…all from the privacy of your personal yacht, the Champagne Lady. This yacht provides 360 degree views from both the well-appointed interior and open-air upper deck spaces. We have arranged for a 2-hour narrated evening cruise and tour of Lake Union for an exclusive number of guests. While aboard, you can enjoy the companionship of fellow AALL attendees, with unlimited beverage service and the following menu of appetizers:

Two-Nation Vacation, Victoria BC Trip
Wednesday-Thursday, July 17-18
July 17, gather at 6:45 a.m.; depart for Pier 69 at 7:00 a.m.; return July 18 at approximately 10:15 p.m. (Clipper Returns to port at approximately 9:30 p.m.)
This adventure departs from and returns to Seattle, Pier 69. On July 17th, you will be transported aboard the Victoria Clipper’s high-speed catamaran on the 7:30am sailing, arriving in Victoria at approximately 10:30am. At the Pier in the Victoria harbor, your motorcoach will be awaiting you. Your next stop is Butchart Gardens. Along the way you will enjoy a narrated city tour. The world-renowned gardens will captivate you and you will have 2 hours to spend on your own in the gardens. At approximately 2:30pm, after your Butchart Gardens tour, you will board your coach for the return to the heart of quaint Victoria, your home away from home, Chateau Victoria.

Victoria is a walker's paradise. You are ideally situated in Victoria's Inner Harbor, which is a strategic position from which to see the marvelous architecture of Frances Rattenbury. His buildings which include the Royal London Wax Museum and the Crystal Garden, along with the magnificent Empress Hotel and Parliament Building, make it one of the prettiest city harbors in the world. With a group of AALL travelers, we will provide our knowledgeable guide to be on-hand to provide information about the area and help you locate whatever you desire. You will have the evening to explore the city with a myriad of delicious dining options within walking distance, including the award winning penthouse restaurant at the top of your hotel. On July 18th, you awake to a day of leisure, with check-out from the hotel by 11:00am. We will store your luggage while you enjoy a day of exploration, shopping and dining—perhaps High Tea at the Empress Hotel? Or, you might visit the Royal BC Museum, board a Russian Submarine or go whale watching just to name a few of your many entertainment options.
Your return sailing departs at 6:45 p.m., so plan to arrive at the Clipper Terminal by 6:00 p.m. This sailing delivers you back to Seattle at approximately 9:30 p.m. Our minicoach will deliver you from the Clipper dock back to your hotel or if you prefer, directly to a Seatac area hotel for Seatac departures on the 19th. (We are happy to help you arrange accommodations an airport hotel that include a shuttle to Seatac for your return flight home.)

This Two-Day experience includes minicoach transfers to/from Pier 69, overnight accommodations at the Chateau Victoria, round-trip Victoria Clipper sailings, narrated city tour and Butchart Gardens visit, round-trip motorcoach transfers from Victoria Harbor to the hotel with luggage, guide, all applicable tolls, taxes, temporary fuel surcharge and porterage.
Current requirements for entering Canada: If you are a United States or Canadian born citizen a valid driver’s license is not sufficient ID and an original or certified copy of a birth certificate is required. Government issued photo identification is strongly recommended as supporting documents. It is the traveler’s responsibility to establish his/her citizenship. If you are not a United States or Canadian born citizen you will be required to have a passport and possibly a Visa. Children and infants are required to provide identification of proof of citizenship for entry. If both parents are not traveling they must have written authorization from the other parent or proof of custody. Persons with a felony may be denied entrance into Canada. If you have been convicted of a crime in the United States it may be considered a felony in Canada. A Driving While Intoxicated conviction (D.W.I.) is considered a felony in Canada.

Your last day in Seattle begins by boarding your awaiting executive coach for the transfer to the downtown Seattle waterfront. Your “Seattleite” mode of transportation provides magnificent views of the Puget Sound on your way to Bainbridge Island.
Just over 20,000 people call the 36 mile island home and enjoy its convenient access to Seattle, its gently rolling hills, its pristine 300 miles of salt water seashore and rich heritage. Bainbridge Island is nestled between the Cascade and Olympic Mountain ranges. This island provides a diverse backdrop of Native American, Scandinavian, Japanese, Military and Pioneer heritage, as well as unparalleled beauty such as that depicted in Snow Falling on Cedars, and the movie/TV series Twin Peaks. Kitsap is the home of the Suquamish tribe and ancestral home of Chief Sealth, namesake of the city of Seattle.
Today you venture back in time to the “Sweet Life”—Sweetlife Farm owners Bob Fortner and his wife Nancy are excited to share their commercial working farm and organic gardening secrets with you. They produce unique and deliciously scintillating products which you will have the opportunity to enjoy. After sampling fresh berries off the vine, you will have the opportunity to shop their unique and handcrafted products. Each guest will have a $25 gift certificate to spend. At the end of the day, enjoy a relaxing and scenic 35 minute crossing aboard a Washington State Ferry, where you can go up on deck and enjoy the salt air as we voyage back across the from the Kitsap Peninsula. Once the ferry is docked, it is a short transfer back to the convention center.
