Philadelphia is renowned for its many Street Vendors. These carts can be found on just about every center city corner during business hours. On the weekends they are concentrated in the tourist areas. Their specialty is hot dogs, soft pretzels, Chinese food and soft drinks. During the summer you will also see many fresh fruit salad vendors.

Within Walking Distance of the Convention Hotels

Reading Terminal Market at 12th & Arch Streets is just across the street from the Convention Center. This is one of the oldest indoor air-conditioned farmers' markets offering all types of food and products from over 80 merchants. Even the finicky eaters can find something here. A great place to stop for ice cream on those hot summer days. This is a "must see."
