Hot Hints from Boston's Best: Diners' Delight

LLNE Members recommend:

Best Mexican: Sol Azteca 914A Beacon Street, Brookline (T: Beacon St., Green line C train)

Best Hamburger: Mr. Bartley’s Burger Cottage. Go hungry. (T: Harvard, Red line)

Best Ice Cream close to the convention center: JP Licks Ice Cream, 852 Newbury Street

Best Italian food outside the North End: Maggiano’s 4 Columbus Ave. If you go with a group, consider ordering “family style.” (T: Arlington or Boylston, Green line)

Best Seafood: No Name Restaurant 15 Fish Pier Street. Great food, cheap prices---cash or check only. See the Boston.com review. (T: South Station, Red line)

Best “cheap” place to grab something simple to eat near the convention center The Pour House 909 Boylston Street

Atasca, a Portuguese restaurant with 2 locations in Cambridge - 279 Broadway (smaller and more intimate, T: Kendall, Red line, then #64 or 68 bus) and 50 Hampshire Street (T: Kendall, Red line, then the CT2 bus). Great food, wonderful service, a favorite “Special Occasion” restaurant. Prices are quite reasonable.

I love Finale’s Restaurant in the theater district for amazing desserts. It has mirrors installed so that patrons can watch the chefs as they create their masterpieces. Prices run fairly high, but it’s worth it for flavor and entertainment value! For a review, see Bradman’s Business Travel Guides.

For people-watching over a ridiculously expensive martini and observing the hospitality industry at its finest, the bar at the Four Seasons is a perfect spot. Oh, and they have a spa, too, if you’re feeling particularly decadent. The Four Seasons 200 Boylston Street, 338-4400 (T: Arlington, Green line)

Recommended by an LLNE member.

Within walking distance of the Convention Center, within a 15-20 minute walk. Those near a train station include the station name. Click on the train station name to open a new window for T directions from the convention center.

NOTE: Massachusetts uses 10 digit dialing. All phone numbers are in the 617 area code unless otherwise stated.
