The working group, formed as a result of the recent AALL Vendor Colloquium, "Creating, Disseminating, Using, and Preserving Legal Information in Challenging Times," has completed its work, and AALL President Joyce Manna Janto would like to share its efforts with the membership.
The working group was charged with refining the shared principles developed and agreed to at the colloquium and with drafting an action plan
to ensure the principles are enacted. Both documents are now available on the Vendor Colloquium page on AALLNET.
We are now seeking member comments on the action plan, which can be submitted using the Vendor Relations community page on AALLNET. Members can also submit their comments directly to AALL Vendor Liaison Margie Maes at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Committee on Relations with Information Vendors (CRIV) will also host a roundtable discussion on the shared principles and action plan during the Annual Meeting in Philadelphia. The roundtable is scheduled for Monday, July 25, from 12-1:15 p.m.
President Janto would also like to thank the members of the working group for all of their efforts in developing both the principles and the action plan.
