Research Law Librarian for Web Services
 
The newly founded University of California, Irvine School of Law Library seeks a Web Services librarian.
 
Responsibilities:
Takes primary responsibility for the Law Library’s web presence. Develops online user guides and other web-based services. Works with the Law School IT and Communications staff to create a fully functional, user-centered Library web site. Responsible for developing and managing the Law Library’s electronic resources collection. Works regular shifts at the Service Desk. Participates in Library’s instructional programs.
 
Required:
ABA-accredited JD degree. ALA-accredited MLS degree. Successful experience in academic law libraries. Significant experience developing web-based resources, such as user guides, blogs, web pages, etc. Experience selecting and managing electronic resources. Extensive knowledge of the legal bibliography and legal research techniques in multiple formats. Successful experience and skill in providing reference services and teaching legal research skills.
 
Preferred:
Knowledge of web site development. Strong professional record of scholarship.
 
Salary and Benefits:
Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
