* Prepare schedule of Executive Board and Executive Board Committee meetings for your year as president- submit for Executive Board apparoval at its July meeting
* Attend Executive Board Meeting held at the close of the Annual Meeting when you become Vice-
   President


September - October

* Attend Vice-President’s Orientation at AALL Headquarters 
* Appoint Chairs of both the Annual Meeting Program Committee (AMPC) and Local Arrangements
   Committee (LAC) to include as an information item at the Fall Executive Board Meeting
* Schedule site visit for next Annual Meeting, in consultation with the Director of Meetings
* Identify presidential initiatives and prepare background for the Finance & Budget Committee

November

* Attend Finance & Budget Committee meeting and the Executive Board Retreat and Meeting
* Send E-Mail to the membership soliciting Annual Meeting Program Committee volunteers
* Deadline for Annual Meeting Program Committee volunteer forms

December

* Select the Appointments Committee
* In consultation with Chairs, appoint members to the Annual Meeting Program Committee (AMPC) and 
   Local Arrangements Committee (LAC)
* Attend site visit for next Annual Meeting

February

* Send E-Mail to the membership soliciting Committee volunteers
* Attend Finance & Budget Committee meeting
* Discuss proposed presidential initiatives with the Finance & Budget Committee and submit budget 
   requests
* Deadline for Committee volunteer forms

March

* Schedule attendance and make travel arrangements for the BIALL meeting
* Attend the Committee Appointments meeting at AALL Headquarters in Chicago
* Confirm committee and representative appointments and prepare letters of invitation
* Appoint Board Liaisons, Board Committees and Task Forces

April

* Attend Executive Board meeting
* Attend Nominations Committee Meeting
* Announce theme for the Annual Meeting 
* Approve design and logo for the next Annual Meeting and to be used on the annual Membership 
   Directory

May

* Select three topics for Members Briefings in AALL Spectrum, and appoint authors for the December, 
   April and July issues
* Prepare for leadership training at the Annual Meeting 
* Prepare agenda for orientation of new Executive Board members at the Annual Meeting

June

* Prepare a 350-word article for the Annual Meeting daily newspaper highlighting plans for your year as 
   President and provide a photo; ask someone on your staff to write an article about you for the 
   newspaper; coordinate with editor of the Annual Meeting daily newspaper
* Attend BIALL Meeting as AALL representative

July

* Preside at the orientation for new Executive Board members Attend Executive Board Meeting 
   scheduled before the start of the Annual Meeting
* Present plaque to retiring President at the Annual Meeting
* Give brief remarks at the Committee, Chapter and SIS Leadership luncheon
* Facilitate orientation for new committee chairs and vice chairs
* Present gift from the Board to the retiring President at the Annual Meeting
* Give brief remarks at the Business Meeting
* Preside at Executive Board Meeting of the new Board, when you become President at the close of the  
   Annual Meeting
