Liability Insurance Forms Due in October
If your chapter is paying for liability insurance through AALL, the form must be received at Headquarters no later than October 20, 2007 for coverage from Nov. 1, 2007 to Nov. 1, 2008. The cost is based on membership as of October 1, 2007.
Strategic Planning for Chapters
A suggestion was made to look into creating a strategic planning guide for chapters. So far a couple people have volunteered to work on a guide. If anyone else is interested either in volunteering or has an opinion on the value of such a guide, please contact me. I am thinking that this might be a good topic for a 2008 leadership training session, but would like input from chapter leaders.

More on Chapter Visits
The form for requesting a visit from a member of the AALL Board has been revised. As was mentioned in the previous Chat, the entire cost of a visit will be covered by AALL. Remember to submit your request for a Board visit at least four (4) weeks before the planned event.
Work is continuing on revising the form for completing chapter biographies. There is a task force in place evaluating the form, including the information in it and the method of submitting the biographies. The old form has been removed from the website.
