Draft 2010-2013 AALL Strategic Directions

I am pleased to present the draft 2010-2013 AALL Strategic Directions to you, the members, for comment. I thank the Executive Board Strategic Directions Committee, Chris Graesser, Ruth Hill, Joyce Janto, and Chair Jean Wenger, for their attention to detail in crafting the Directions.

The goals and objectives created for our directions of Leadership, Education, and Advocacy will guide the work of the Association's committees, special interest sections, caucuses, and chapters during the next three years. The draft was developed based on information gathered from members, member entities, the Executive Board, and AALL staff over the past year.

I encourage you to thoughtfully review the draft and to submit comments and suggestions as an individual member or as a member of a special interest section, committee, caucus or chapter. Multiple submissions are welcome. The comment box will remain open until Friday, March 5. If you prefer, you may send comments directly to me or any member of the Executive Board.

The Executive Board will adopt the 2010-2013 Strategic Directions at the Spring Board Meeting, April 9-10. Thank you for your continued dedication to the future of AALL.
