The Time is Now - Volunteer for an AALL Committee by December 1!
"Advancements in technology have provided us the wonderful freedom to procrastinate faster than ever before." R. Smith, Complete Idiot’s Guide to E-commerce.
The deadline for volunteering for a 2007-2008 committee is rapidly approaching, so if you’re still procrastinating, click now to complete and submit the Committee Volunteer Form!
Not sure where you’ll fit? Committees perform a wide range of activities and cover a variety of interests, so whether your passion is advocacy or awards, government relations or grants, recruitment or research, there’s something just right for you! Check out the complete list of AALL Committees on AALLNET. From there, you can click on "profile" to see the committee’s charge, or "website" to find out more about the committee’s current work.
While not every member who volunteers can be appointed to a committee, I assure you that everyone who volunteers will be given full consideration. I’m especially committed to appointing members from all types of law libraries to our committees. To be a strong organization we need the varying perspectives of everyone--law firm, law school, court, bar association, corporation, government agency, independent, vendor--everyone!
We also need the contributions of both experienced and newer members--not all appointments require years of experience. Not sure you can come to next year’s annual meeting? Attendance is not essential for all committee positions. So don’t delay--volunteer today by completing and submitting the Committee Volunteer Form by no later than December 1. Thanks!
Sincerely,

Ann T. Fessenden
