Money/Education/Elections
I am pleased to announce that the following projects have received a contribution from the new Emerging Opportunities Fund. Please send your requests to AALL Executive Director Susan Fox or to me for prompt consideration.
- SCALL's Inner City Youth Internship Program
- Funding for the Government Relations Committee and the Washington Office to expand the Annual Meeting advocacy workshop from a half to a full day. The afternoon session will be designed for newer chapter and AALL members who are interested in advocacy and information policy issues.
The Education Summit Final Report is now on AALLNET. Some 70 representatives of chapters and SISs convened in September to explore how AALL could facilitate its members' continuing professional education beyond the Annual Meeting. Three task forces have been appointed and will provide regular updates to you, the members, on their progress.
| Please, don't forget to vote. Your vote is important, and the deadline is December 1st! |
