AALL Strategic Directions Plan

I am pleased to present the draft Strategic Directions documents that we plan to review and adopt during the July meeting of the AALL Executive Board. These documents are the result of 18 months of study and reflection about trends in the legal profession, librarianship, and association governance. They reflect not only the thinking of the Executive Board, but the opinions and dreams of the membership.

By design, this Strategic Directions plan is member focused. We’ve identified three goals and several targeted objectives that will serve as priorities for Association initiatives during the term of the plan. We will urge our standing committees, special interest sections, and chapters to think about the plan and use it when thinking about their own activities. We especially invite your individual comments about the Strategic Directions plan at strategy@aall.org. You may also contact me or any member of the Executive Board.
