AALL Announces October and November Professional Development Programs

Training the Internet Trainer – Saturday, October 14, 2000, Seton Hall Law School, Newark, New Jersey.

This full-day program is designed to provide you with a guide to developing your own in-house Internet training program. Wanda J. McDavid (consultant and former Library Information Resources Manager for international and regional law firms in Denver, Colorado) is the instructor. The program will assist participants in identifying content, applying techniques to keep training on track, and setting up the learning environment.

Managing Solo Libraries - Monday, November 6, 2000, Boston, Massachusetts - LEXIS-NEXIS office building, 73 Tremont Street.

The full-day program will provide librarians with the management tools necessary to perform solo in a legal environment. Judith Siess (President of Information Bridges International, Inc., a consulting firm that provides information services to libraries around the world) is the instructor. Participants will learn techniques to solve management issues specific to solo librarians as well as ways to alleviate the isolation of working solo.
