Salary Survey Supplemental Findings Available

For Immediate Release
September 13, 2000

Chicago, September 13, 2000 -- Each time the Association conducts the Salary Survey, we have the opportunity to glean from the responses a wealth of information that goes beyond the salary data themselves, giving us valuable insight into law libraries and emerging trends.

We can learn about expenditures, size of staffs, ratios of law librarians to attorneys in firms and to faculty and students in academic libraries, and more.

Martha Kyrillidou (Program Officer for Statistics and Measurements at the Association of Research Libraries in Washington, D.C.) has recently completed the analysis of the non-salary data from the 1999 survey.

The full text of the Supplemental Findings is available at AALLNET in the Members-Only Section. Members who are unable to access the WWW can receive a hard-copy version by contacting Rhonda Feren at AALL Headquarters, (312) 939-4764 ext. 12.

The 1999 Biennial Salary Survey is available at AALLNET in the Members-Only Section and in hard copy for $85 (AALL member price); orders can be sent to Rhonda Feren at (312) 939-4764 ext. 12.
