AALL Announces Law Library Journal Article of the Year Award Recipient

The American Association of Law Libraries' Awards Committee has selected Steven J. Melamut, reference and electronic services librarian at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Law Library, as the 2001 recipient of the Law Library Journal Article of the Year Award.

Melamut's article, "Pursuing Fair Use, Law Libraries and Electronic Reserves" (92 Law Library Journal 157, 2000), discusses electronic reserves and copyright implications.

Established in 1989, this award recognizes outstanding achievement in research and scholarship as represented by a published work in Law Library Journal. A cash prize of $500, donated by CCH Incorporated, accompanies the award.

The award will be presented during the 94th AALL Annual Meeting and Conference at the Association Luncheon July 16 in Minneapolis.
